Net Neutrality: Cellular operators association gets support of 4 million Indians

Four million mobile subscribers have supported COAI’s campaign favouring net neutrality for internet-based communication services like WhatsApp and Skype and their being subject to norms similar to those applying to mobile phone operators, the apex body of cellular operators said.
“Sabka Internet, Sab ka Vikas — the campaign for net neutrality, net equality and consumer choice, has received support from over 40 lakh Indian mobile users in under a week,” the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said in a statement here.

PM Narendra Modi ‘scores big hit’ with Chinese social micro-blog Weibo: Report





China’s official media welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to open an account on the popular Chinese social micro-blog Weibo, saying he scored a “big hit” ahead of his visit to China next week.

“Modi scores big hit with micro blog in run-up to visit,” read the headline in the state-run English language China Daily, while another official newspaper Global Times headline says ‘Modi debuts on Weibo ahead of state visit to China’.
